Speech communication classes
CADA runs weekly speech and communication classes for kids who would like to work on their ability to express themselves. In small groups, speech students work on impromptu speeches, prepared speeches, poetry recital and other forms of oral expression. Students can work towards examinations with either the Australian Speech Communication Association (ASCA) or the Australian Music Education Board (AMEB) and can also participate in the National Speech and Drama Eisteddfod. These performance opportunities are not compulsory for CADA students, but those who participate have a chance to put their learning into practice (and see their achievements recognised in certificates, trophies and medals).
Classes are held after school on Mondays at the CADA Studios in Fyshwick.
Cost of Group Classes: $245 per term
