A four-day acting intensive for budding actors – both those with some experience and those new to the craft. Explore scene work, improv, acting technique, vocal development, movement, theatre history and much, much more! Have fun and learn new skills at the same time.

The Acting 4 Teens program is suitable for 12-17 year-olds and focuses on acting skills and techniques. Dabbling in a wide range of theatrical styles, from simple comedy sketches right through to Shakespeare, students learn to work with scripts, improvise scenes, and think about the movement of their body and voice on stage. Term 1 and Term 3 focus on building skills, while Term 2 and Term 4 work towards a stage performance for family and friends.

Speech communication classes are group or private lessons focusing on speech making, elocution, poetry recital and other aspects of public presentation. If they wish, students can work towards exams with the Australian Speech Communication Association (ASCA), eisteddfods and CADA’s end-of-term performances.
